[Homographs: 동형이의어 영영풀이]

 

★동형이의어란: 형태(철자=spell)는 같은데 의미(뜻)는 다른 단어를 말한다. 영어를 잘한다는 것은 다양한 문장 속에 나온 단어의 뜻을 상황에 맞는 뜻으로 올바르게 해석할 수 있는 능력을 갖고 있다는 의미이다. 그래서 다양한 뜻을 갖고 있는 단어의 여러 가지 뜻을 문장에 맞게 해석할 수 있어야 한다. 영어 단어는 오직 한 개의 뜻만 갖고 있는 것은 거의 없다. 아래 어휘들의 정확한 의미는 영한사전을 보고 여러 가지 의미를 공부해 두어야 한다.
